I have never seen one of those in real life. I have seen the cecropia moth which is also beautiful. My sons found a cocoon one year and put it in a pail and it hatched out in the spring.

It was so neat! Once day the boys woke up and heard rustling in the leaves in the bucket and there it was!

Beautiful. We do have the Lunar Moths around here and it is always a treat to spot one.
