Christmas clutter warms the home, the heart, the season.
Merry Christmas Season to all.
Uncomplicated thoughts: Come hither angels and spread peace with soft wings.
Peace be with you.
Uncomplicated thoughts: Everyone has their personal favorites…a unique list… yet so community.
I love peppermint…especially when it is in the form of a candy cane. Yeah, I learned about them my first Christmas…I golden nosed my way through the decorations on the tree and found this little red and white striped gem…now I look forward each Christmas to getting a piece of the sweet peppermint…however, now I wait for it…I’ve learned to back off the tree…having said that…did you know that small amounts peppermint are good for dogs? Well…it’s true…and by the way here’s the history of the beloved ‘J’ shape like a shepherds crook…so the back story of the candy cane is spiritual and came in celebration of the nativity.
P.S. Hope you watched this YouTube of two yellow labs cleansing a Christmas tree of candy canes…the big dude ate them all! HA! Love it! Rock on retrievers!

The excitement & anticipation brings back Christmas memories
I know that the Washington Post is known annually for its listing of What’s In and What’s Out as we approach a New Year. Well, I can’t wait… my golden dog ears and eyes have been keenly listening and observing, ready for the scoop…or the poop…which ever you prefer to call this. So….read on and consider my golden outlook on the in and out list… be sure to recall what events occurred this year…and oh …what a year it has been…Peace baby

My golden self is about to celebrate my third Christmas…can’t wait. Just noticing how the holiday season is ever-changing …evolving…
What’s in…Ugly Sweater Parties that include adults wearing outrageous footed pajamas…Bad Santa Parties that are close to the “Ugly” but perhaps a bit “Up” in “bad taste”… It’s totally innocent seasonal fun wrapped around the colors of red & green, mixed with different levels of alcohol…laced with meatballs, wings and cheese trays… as well as record-setting numbers of selfies taken within these celebratory & innocuous 3-4 hours.

What I want to know is…did the house dog get an outrageous sweater…perhaps a meatball or two…perhaps chilled water bowl while the “adults?!?” party down??
What have we learned here…Christmas Caroling is out. I’m just saying a golde…Ho! Ho! Ho!
My golden retriever self saw this beauty just last week…the US Capitol Christmas tree…gorgeous…a golden gorgeous. What makes this gem so special is to know that all of the ornaments this year…over 18,000 of them have meaning and were hand-made by fellow Idaho peeps…proudly coming from the great state whose state vegetable is the glorious potato…state fish is the cut-throat trout. You gotta read about this…the warm-hearted golden in me wishes each of you could visit this very special celebration of state caring and national pride.
